The 5th Annual “ATV Polo for BackStoppers” Event was held on a beautiful Sunny Saturday August 10th, at Sinclair Polo Field. This year’s event raised over 14K for our local Backstoppers Charity, raising the donations bar each year since it’s inception. These funds come through corporate sponsorships and entry fees.

The match began with the singing of our National Anthem by Charles Glenn, who for 19 years – including the Stanley Cup win – was the official Blues Home Game Singer. The guests were treated to cold beverages and a full bar plus a buffet BBQ Pig- roasted on site. Guests watched the Polo Match from a safe distance as players thrilled the crowd with daring moves, dangerous situations, near misses, spills, run-ins, breakdowns, and a rebuild of one goal that was run over and dragged. After the match live music entertained the crowd into the evening.

ATV Polo players appear each year as Super Heros in the Veiled Prophet Parade -now know as America’s Birthday Parade- in downtown St. Louis each July 4th.

BackStoppers provides onging needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMT’s in our coverage area who have lost their lives in the line of duty.  In addition to our mission of supporting the families of fallen heros, BackStoppers provides assistance to first responders who suffer a catastrophic injury performing their duty.
