The Young Friend of Mercy recently formed a group of young professionals passionate about giving back to the community. They hosted their first major fundraiser, the Young Friends Mercy Masquerade, at the Lumen Friday, January 16, 2015.

Tickets for the themed cocktail party cost $50 in advance, $60 at the door. The event, patterned after the Mercy Health Foundation’s annual Mercy Masquerade, included an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, music, a high-end raffle and many surprises throughout the evening. All proceeds will support Mercy Kids in School, a behavioral health program that places a licensed clinical social worker in four urban Catholic grade schools using telemedicine.

Through exciting, unique events, Young Friends will help support the fundraising efforts of Mercy Health Foundation, while raising awareness of the health care needs of the community among a younger demographic. Led by an executive committee of young professionals, Young Friends of Mercy invites anyone passionate about helping kids in the community to join their efforts.
