Winter Opera Saint Louis hosted its annual celebration, Holidays on the Hill, at Dominic’s, Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Guests savored a four-course dinner suitable for an opera aficionado while listening to holiday entertainment between servings.

Internationally recognized performers Gina Galati, general director and soprano, and Eric McCluskey, baritone, took guests on a journey of film, stage, and opera with Christmas classics such as “We Need a Little Christmas, “I’m Dreaming of a White Chritmas”, “Silver and Gold”, “O Holy Night”, and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. They even encouraged the audience to sing along to “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Silent Night”, the closing hymn. Robert Valentine, collaborative pianist, accompanied on all songs.

A raffle supplemented the event with the winner receiving two tickets to either L’amico Fritz or Otello. A few consolation prizes also went to guests. All proceeds from the raffle will be applied toward the $3000 costume budget for L’amico Fritz, appearing in January.
