Sophisticated Living Magazine invited guests to attend an exclusive private estate sale party, Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Diamond Family, 773 Lafayette Center, Manchester, Missouri. Bubbles and bites flowed as guests previewed the huge estate sale before it opened to the public, Saturday, October 10.
The attendees could peruse and select from $3 million of inventory including celebrity jewelry owned by John Wayne, Bette Midler, Elizabeth Taylor, Dom Deluise, Sid Ceasar, Les Paul, Jon Peters, Farrah Fawcett, Greta Garbo, Betty Hutton, Cher, Mary Pickford, Mia Farrow from Frank Sinatra, and Yul Brenner. Apparently, a lot from Marilyn Monroe already had been sold.
Some vintage pieces crafted by artisans also remained available from the Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco and other bygone eras right next to stunning designer collections by Tiffany, Cartier, Von Cleef & Arpel, and Bulgari.
