THE SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY MUSEUM OF ART HOSTED THE SIXTH INSTALLMENT OF URBAN WANDERERS, A FUNDRAISING ART EXHIBITION TO DIRECTLY BENEFIT STRAY RESCUE OF ST. LOUIS, FROM JUNE 10 UNTIL JULY 24.The exhibition will open with a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at the Saint Louis University Museum of Art. The reception is free-of-charge; however, donations are encouraged and appreciated. All proceeds will be used to heal abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats.
Urban Wanderers exhibition includes works of art created by artists, as well as rescued companion animals. Each artist depicts a Stray Rescue dog or cat in their medium of choice, ranging from photography to painting, and sculpture. Dogs and cats join in the fun, too, creating paintings with their paws, tails and noses. All artwork will be available for purchase via an online auction. Bidding will begin on Friday, June 10, and continue until the conclusion of the exhibition on Sunday, July 24. All online bidding proceeds directly benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
