Stray Rescue’s 16th Annual Hope for the Holidays Gala
The 16th Annual Hope for the Holidays Gala ended up the most delightful and inspiring fundraising event of the year. Held once again at The Moto Museum, one of Saint Louis’ truly engaging venues, our guests enjoyed delectable food, an open bar, live entertainment, incredible silent and live auction items, as well as a heartwarming video presentation. Some of Stray Rescue’s All-Star dogs also made several appearances.
Special guest stars included St Louis Blues Hockey players, TV stars Elaine Hendrix, and Seamus and Julianna Dever of the hit television series, Castle.
Stray Rescue’s sole purpose is rescuing stray animals in need of medical attention, restore them to health, and place them in loving adoptive homes. Virtually all of the pets saved have been abused and neglected. They have been dumped on highways, or remote country roads. Abandoned in public parks, empty houses and dark alleys. It even has saved dogs left chained behind buildings after their owners had relocated.
Rescued animals often make the best pets. As a no-kill organization, pets from Stray Rescue seem to understand that they have a second lease on life. In return for a little affection and attention, these remarkable animals reward their new owners with a love and loyalty unmatched anywhere.
