St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister Cities 27th Annual Winter Ball

Stuttgart Sister Cities hosted their 27th Annual Winter Ball Karneval Dinner Dance, Saturday, February 8, 2014, to coincide with STL 250 celebrations around town. Held in the elegant MAC Club downtown, the guests arrived in costumes and formal attire, hinting at Mardi Gras in true Karneval spirit.

One of the major fundraising events for the St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister Cities group, the annual Winter Ball brought together guests, members, patrons and corporate sponsors for a fun-filled evening, with auction items, formal dinner, live entertainment  provided by Larry Haller & Sarah Jane and the Blue Notes, plus a special “sneak preview” performance by the MADCO Dance Company and their new production, “Liquid Roads”. And don’t forget polka dancing! Deputy Mayor Isabel Fezer of Stuttgart, Germany attended with her delegation and Stuttgart Street artists. These artists – together with St. Louis artists – created appealing St. Louis Street Art, which was auctioned off at the Winter Ball.

Additionally, Mayor Francis Slay and County Executive Charlie Dooley made special appearances. STSSC President Sue Evens and 100.7 FM’s Katy Kruze served as co-emcees for this event, and Bob Schott co-chaired the gala.
