The St. Louis Public Library Foundation hosted “A Taste of Fiction” at the Central Library Branch, Friday, March 6, 2015. Some of the region’s finest chefs interpreted classic works in pastry and chocolate to tempt guests during the evening. Proceeds from “A Taste of Fiction” benefited culinary programming and the culinary collection of the St. Louis Public Library.

Thank you to everyone who made “A Taste of Fiction” a huge success, including the sponsors, event co-chairs, and event planning committee. The 16 participating chefs also exemplified a creativity and passion unsurpassed for culinary and literary themes.

“A Taste of Fiction” involved a one-of-a-kind culinary event that engaged the finest pastry chefs in the region to interpret literary works in pastry. The guests initially had a tantalizing cocktail party before finding works of culinary and literary fusion to display. Then they discovered many samples to taste.

A Taste of Fiction kicks off a month of culinary happenings at the St. Louis Public Library through the the month of March. Proceeds from the evening benefit culinary programming and the culinary collection at the St. Louis Public Library.
