Those who attended St. Louis Arc’s fundraiser on Thursday, April 23, 2015 witnessed the fact that superheros walk among us.  They sometimes wear capes and colorful costumes, some look just like normal people, and some donate great sums of money, but all have big hearts and are willing to show it.  The evening’s event brought 375 attendees to the Palladium and raised $275,000 for the St. Louis Arc’s children’s programs.

The 2015 “Superhero for Kids” award and cape was presented to attorney William “Bill” Bolster for his work on behalf of Missouri families dealing with Autism. The event was made possible through the leadership and creativity of co-chairs Mary and David Steward II and through the generosity of World Wide Technology and Lion Forge, who provided all who attended a comic book featuring the characters Walk, Talk, Read and Write. Pat McGonigle, anchor of KSDK’s Today in St. Louis, lead the evening’s program as emcee.

The St. Louis Arc is a non-profit, United Way agency that provides support and services to more than 3,500 adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
