SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation hosted an Art Pull at Gallery 618, Clayton, Missouri, Friday, June 21, 2014. Guests who paid the VIP charge of $150 went home with a piece of art from the gallery. The event benefited the kids at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.

The VIP Party lasted from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM and included light hors d’oeurves and beverages from Tan and Crazy Bowls & Wraps. When the guests arrived, they drew a number on a paint brush and then hunted for the artwork on the gallery walls. When they discovered the corresponding number on their piece, they could remove from the wall and take home at night’s end.

If they spotted something more preferable, they could barter with that “owner” and arrange a trade. All art in the pull was valued at $150 or more. The gallery also had some works available through a silent auction.

Doors opened for the Glennon Sun Art Pull Ticket holders at 8:00 PM. Their admission price covered beer, wine or soda and a one of a kind Glennon Sun print.

Dr, Bob and Cathryn Wilmott and Dr. Barry and Alissa Duel served as event co-chairs. Dan Buck, vice president of philanthropy, assisted with the master of ceremony and auctioneer duties. Bidding occurred on some special artwork and the weekend use of a Tesla sports coupe, which actually brought in matching bids of $1500 each from two couples.
