Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund

 The evening began at the Chase Park Plaza, Empire Room, Thursday, June 2, 5 PM to 7 PM to celebrate  ten years of giving grants to local community agencies.  This is was not a fundraiser, but a vibrant celebration of ten years of giving together.  Event co-chairs Susan Block and Joni Karandjeff, Board president Gwen Wesley, and many other notable women from a range of educational, professional, geographic and religious backgrounds all gathered to celebrate .The Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund (SOS)  raised more than $1.8 million in grants to be distributed to more than 70 agencies.  The Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund is a collective giving and grantmaking network.   Everyone gives the same; everyone has the same vote.  It is founded on the principle that women come together they can do many wonderful things.   Over 300 women have donated to date.
