Sing for Siteman, an annual event honoring cancer patients and benefiting cancer research at the Siteman Cancer Center, celebrated it’s seventh iteration on June 13, 2016 at John Burroughs School’s Performing Arts Center. The event was inspired by Carol Wong, artistic director and internationally renowned pianist. The event was hosted by honorary chair Elizabeth Mannen and included incredible performances by talented world-class artists performing with Opera Theatre of St. Louis. The 2016 artists were Aubrey Allicock, Jenni Bank, John Brancy, Andrew Haji, Cecilia Hall, Lauren Michelle, Marjorie Owens, So Young Park, Matthew Plenk, Roland Wood and Carol Wong. The concert was followed by a “Meet the Artists” Dessert and Wine Reception.

Sing for Siteman was launched in 2010 by a small group of St. Louisans to engaged young artists in the fight against cancer. The event was inspired by Carol Wong, an internationally renowned pianist, who lost her father to cancer. Sing for Siteman features Carol Wong accompanying outstanding artists from across North America, performing a wide range of musical selections to honor cancer patients and benefit research at the Siteman Cancer Center.
