The Safe Connections Young Professionals became VERY SUPERSTITIOUS with a night of trivia on Friday the 13th of November, 2015 at St. James the Greater Church in Dogtown.

Teams of eight brought their best themed costumes and decor to compete for a prize. Auction items included sports memorabilia, experiences around town and even a Foo Fighters autographed guitar.  A special award even existed for the team that came in last.

Formed in 2010, the group’s purpose is engaging young professionals in raising awareness and funds to reduce the impact and incidence of relationship violence and sexual assault throughout the St. Louis region. Last year they raised more than $20,000 to support the education, intervention and counseling services offered through Safe Connections, while spreading awareness among hundreds of community members about the mission and services.

Located in St. Louis, Missouri, Safe Connections embodies a place where relationship violence and its long-term effects are addressed in complete confidence and security. Its individual counseling enables thousands of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to reclaim their lives. The 24-hour Crisis Helpline volunteers provide resources and information to survivors, family members and concerned friends.
