New Year for the Strays Trivia Night

The following animal rescue organizations, APA of Missouri, Five Acres Animal Shelter, Stray Rescue, Open Door Animal Sanctuary, Gateway Pet Guardians, Belleville Area Humane Society, Humane Society of Missouri, B.A.R.C., OpSPOT, Helping Strays (Humane Society of Monroe County), St. Louis County Animal Care & Control, Tenth Life Cat Rescue and Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic, all teamed up to host the annual mega trivia night, New Year for Strays, Saturday, January 9, 2016. Over 900 trivia/animal lovers attended the event at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel’s Majestic Ballroom, Downtown.

While the basic cost of admission ran $400 per table of 10, the guests could upgrade for an additional $75 to receive a dedicated beverage server, 2 Imo’s pizzas, and 10 tickets in the 50/50 drawing. Or, they could go bold with VIP tickets at $800 per table for 2 Imo’s pizzas, 50 tickets in the 50/50, 10 gourmet cupcakes, Syberg’s wings, 2 bottles of local wine from the Weingarten, special Purian gifts, a dedicated server, 5 parking passes, and seats close to the front of the room to catch all the trivia action.

Whatever level the guests selected, trivia master Dan Dillion entertained them with challenging categories and topics. Special thanks also go the generous sponsors: Purina, Imos, Barefoot Wine, Anheuser-Busch, The Watering Bowl, Gold’s Gym, Sissy Belle Cookies, Sybergs, The Weingarten.

All proceeds from the event stay local. Every penny helps care for homeless pets and get them adopted as well as fund low-cost spay/neuter services in the Greater St. Louis community. What a marvelous opportunity to make one donation and have it spread out among very deserving groups producing a positive difference in the lives of so many pets!
