Nelly’s 8th Annual Black and White Ball

The 8th Annual Black and White Ball, St. Louis’ premier celebrity gala event was recently held at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis at Lumiere Place. Hosted by Grammy Award-winning rapper/actor/entrepreneur Nelly, the annual black-tie holiday-season celebration has become a highlight of the city’s social calendar. Nelly was joined at the gala by a diverse group of friends from the entertainment, sports, and business communities and the event was highlighted by live performances throughout the evening including a feature performance by the R&B group En Vogue.

At the event, Nelly and Lindenwood University announced the launch of the 2014/2015 Black And White Ball scholarship program which will provide two students from the St. Louis region with 4-year full-tuition scholarships/grants to Lindenwood University. In addition, the 2013/2014 Black And White Ball scholarship recipients will be recognized at the gala.

As part of the weekend, the Black and White Ball also made a contribution to help distribute books and toys at the 18th annual St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation Holiday Party For The Children, a holiday party that creates a memorable experience for over 350 underprivileged children in the city of St. Louis.

Over the past seven years, the Black and White Ball has attracted a variety of celebrity and athlete guests- previous attendees and performers at the Black and White Ball have included Janet Jackson, Allen Iverson, D.L. Hughley, Evander Holyfield, Boyz II Men Ashanti, Marshall Faulk, Johnny Gill, Ruben Studdard, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Bill Bellamy, DMC from Run-DMC, Jim Edmonds, Torry Holt, and Steven Jackson.
