Monday, September 14, 2015, Make-A-Wish ® Missouri and the St. Louis Rams came together for the 20th Annual Night of Wishes presented by Emerson and Mercy.  The benefit took place at Bissinger’s Caramel Room located at 1600 North Broadway, St. Louis, Missouri and followed a thrilling opening season victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

This exclusive fundraising event hosted by James Laurinaitis, #55 linebacker of the St. Louis Rams, captured abundant excitement. Sports broadcaster Kara Henderson Snead  emceed as guests met their favorite Rams players, cheerleaders and Rampage, making wishes come true for local children battling life-threatening illnesses.

The evening also included a live auction and dinner. Local Wish Kids Aries (age 6), Colin (age 9), Joe (age 12) and Samuel (age 15) attended to share in the festivities and bring Make-A-Wish’s mission to life as they testified to the power of a wish.

The Night of Wishes has become a time-honored St. Louis tradition since 1995. The continued support from the Rams organization combined with the generosity of the fans has resulted in an astounding $2 million, allowing Make-A-Wish to grant 400 wishes in support its mission. .

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish® Missouri has granted wishes to more than 5,000 local children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This year, the chapter will grant more than 300 wishes.

According to a U.S. wish impact study, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can influence the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illnesses, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family.
