The annual I Love Food and Wine celebration of the life and memory of heart warrior and angel, Ollie Hinkle took place this year at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. Guests were treated to a premier wine and local beer tasting along with tastes from the area’s top restaurants. A plethora of silent auction items were displayed and later a live auction was held with Monica Adams of FOX2 News and KMOX Radio as celebrity auctioneer.

Local Restaurants included: Annie Gunns, Bar Napoli, Basso, The Block, Bolyard’s, Boundary, Brasserie by Niche, Clemintine’s Creamery, Cleveland-Health, Element, Farmtruk, Five Bistro, Fleming’s, Juniper, Mai Lee, Olio, Olive+Oak, Pappy’s, Reed’s American Table, Robust Wine Bar, Sydney Street, Southern, Triumph Grill, Union Loafers. There were also more that 250 premiere wines and award winning local brewers presented for sampling.

Proceeds benefit the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting congenital heart disease by raising funds for the most promising research, spreading awareness, and showing love and support to the children and families impacted by CHD’s.

The Children’s Heart Foundation is the only organization that was created
to exclusively fund congenital heart defect research. The Children’s Heart Foundation has contributed an astounding $7.4 million toward 62 revolutionary congenital heart defect (CHD) research studies.
