The 11th Annual Let Them Eat Art is Maplewood’s Whimsical Tribute to Bastille Day. This year entitled “Heads will Bowl” is an artful tribute to Saratoga Lanes’ Centennial, was held on a spectacular Friday night July 8th.

The Saratoga Lanes’ parade kicked off the event at 6 PM on Sutton Blvd. from Railroad Street to Marietta.  Following the parade everyone enjoyed live music and entertainment, live art demonstrations, bowling pin art and food & drink specials by Maplewood’s award-winning food purveyors.

Celebrated long time Maplewood business, Saratoga Lanes with its 100th year of operation is arguably the oldest continuously operating bowling alley anywhere!

Downtown historic Maplewood was the location where street artisans and musicians played and displayed creations and live art with everything from top spinning, Dream Seekers Dream interpretation, the St. Louis Hoop Club, Circus Kaput, Aalim Belly Dancing and more…Kids’ & family activities including face painting by Artists First, kids book giveaway and fun with Shakespeare Festival. Vote for Pedro performed on main stage on Sutton Ave and more bands and musicians throughout the district provided lots of entertainment. This annual event continues to grow as the “Can’t Miss” event of the summer!
