Habitat for Humanity St. Louis Volunteer Appreciation Party

Habitat for Humanity St. Louis invited its volunteers and sponsors to an appreciation party celebrating the sweet success of their collective efforts, Friday, November 1, 2013. Unlike past years, Habitat combined the two parties to recognize the hard work and dedication of its volunteers along with the donors, who directly supported the partner families and build programs with gifts of $5,000 or more, plus “In-kind” suppliers providing services and/or materials of equivalent value. Held at the attractive venue Monarch, Maplewood, Missouri, the event showcases why Habitat volunteers and supporters are changing St. Louis.

Guests were treated to two drink drinks, desserts, and had the opportunity to win several raffled baskets. Each guest also received a special gift bag.

Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis works in partnership with people from all walks of life. Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity, should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. It strives to rejuvenate communities by building homes, using predominantly volunteer labor, designed to blend with the character of the surroundings. During the 27 years here, Habitat for Humanity St. Louis has built or rehabbed over 340 homes and has changed the lives of well over 1,000 families.
