FOCUS St. Louis’ Move & Shake!
FOCUS St. Louis’ eleventh annual Move & Shake! Party with a Purpose, held Saturday, November 2, 2013, attracted more than 300 community movers and shakers. This year’s host, The Magic House – St. Louis Children’s Museum, offered full access to its various exhibits and an abundance of interactive fun. If guests did not feel engaged enough, they could dance to the sounds of Galaxy/Red. The net proceeds, projected at over $50,000, will support the critical work of FOCUS St. Louis®.
FOCUS would like to thank its sponsors, host committee members, donors, bidders, volunteers, those who purchased raffle tickets, and all who attended the event. The party’s success also is attributed to the hard work of the co-chairs: Isaac Butler, Sarajeni Hammond, Brett Moorehouse, and Penny Pennington. A special appreciation is extended to lead sponsors Ameren Missouri, Edward Jones, Monsanto, Purina, Wells Fargo Advisors, BJC Healthcare, Laclede Gas Company, Thompson Coburn LLP, and World Wide Technology, Inc.
FOCUS St. Louis® sparks positive community change by developing leadership, influencing policy, and promoting community connections. It makes a difference through successes including new legislation, organizations, and initiatives that make the St. Louis region a better place to live for all of us. The driving force behind FOCUS’ ability to create regional solutions lies in the strength and enthusiasm of its leadership program alumni and FOCUS members.
