Five Acres Animal Shelter hosted its largest annual fundraiser, Uncorked… A Cause For the Paws, at the Foundry Art Centre, St. Charles, Missouri, Sunday, May 17, 2015. A capacity crowd turned out to wine, dine, listen to music and, naturally, see the animals.

The VIP Pre-Party opened at 12:00 PM with general admission at 1:00 PM. One of the main acts involves the pet Alumni Parade, which again left the guests clamoring for more. After all, it reinforces the reason behind  “A Cause for the Paw”. Then came a concert by country artist Josh Kelley before moving to the live auction.

Many food vendors presented their signature dishes from the best area restaurants along with assorted wine, spirits and beer. Some of the participating establishments for humans or pets featured: 4 Seasons Bakery, Anhueser Busch, Augusta Brewing, Big Woody’s, Billy Goat Chips (VIP only), Crown Valley Moonshine, Dairy Queen, Frenchtown Deli, Gusto Gourmet Creamery, Kraftig,  Laszlo, Lewis and Clark’s, 4 Roses Whiskey, Mastermind Vodka, Miss Aimee B’s (VIP only), Missouri Weinstrasse, Orlando’s, PRP Wines, Schlafly, Se7en Cupcakes and Martinis, St. James Winery, The Art Institute, The Cup, Three Dog Bakery (VIP gift), and Treats Unleased (VIP gift), Glazer’s.

An amazing performance by country artist Josh Kelley astonished the audience. He finished his set with his hit Georgia Clay.

By then, the mood had shifted to raising funds, and the live auction offered many splendid opportunities, including an autographed Florida-Georgia Line guitar, tickets to “Watch What Happens Live”, in New York City, a Mizzou Tigers football package, and even a VIP Ellen Show experience.
