On Thursday September 13th a “Day of Inspiration” was held by the Women with a Mission society at The Ritz Carlton ballroom beginning with a morning Tea and Scone Reception and followed by a warm welcome by Mercy Health Foundation’s CAO and President, Cynthia Williams. Ann Allred, KSDK news anchor then moderated a panel discussion with panelists Dr Jeanne Cleveland, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mayor Sandy Lucy, Sister Mary Roch Rocklage, RSM and Dr. Elizabeth Stroble. Following the luncheon Keynote Speaker Leigh Anne Tuohy, the inspirational matriarch of the Tuohy family and subject of the best selling book “The Blind Side” by Michael Lewis gave an inspiring address. Cynthia Williams followed up with a Q&A session and all guests were offered a photo opportunity with Leigh Anne Tuohy.

Striving to continue the legacy of Catherine McAuley, the Women with a Mission society combines resources, vision and passion for helping others to support and improve health care in our communities. Starting in 2007 today Women with a Mission is established in seven communities across the Mercy ministry with more than 430 active members. To date, Women with a Mission members have raised more than $1.6 Million collectively.
