As part of its mission to strengthen the region and build a vibrant community that attracts and retains soon-to-be college graduates, Civic Progress hosted its annual reception for interns and co-ops at its members’ companies. On June 25, 2015, more than 250 young leaders gathered together at the Touhill Performance Arts Center, University of Missouri-St. Louis campus, to learn more about why St. Louis is considered an excellent place to live, work and play.

Andrew C. Taylor, Executive Chairman of Enterprise Holdings, and Diane M. Sullivan, CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of Caleres, chaired this year’s event. The short program featured a panel of young corporate leaders and entrepreneurs who discussed why they believe St. Louis reflects a great place to live, work and play.

Before and after the remarks and panel discussion, the guests networked and enjoyed a reception with heavy appetizers and beverages. Interns across the state had the opportunity  to socialize with interns from other companies, meet CEO’s of the St. Louis area’s leading employers, and hear about all the positive qualities of life here.
