CIAO STL 2nd Annual Carnevale Grand Masquerade Ball
On Saturday March 2nd 2019 CIAO St. Louis held a very successful 2nd Annual Carnevale Grand Masquerade Ball, a formal event; black tie optional or Masquerade in the style of Venice’s Carnevale celebration! Guests were treated to a welcoming cocktail reception with live music and a live traveling Champagne carrier, appetizers and drinks. As the Grand Ballroom opened the guests discovered lavish Venetian dining stations, premire open bar with signature drinks and lce Scupture luge. Emcee Jay DiMaggio introduced Rain Stippec and Paige Walden-Johnson from Community Arts St Louis, and later introduced former Miss Italian St Louis’ Elizabeth DiMaggio and Christina Bartels. Also on stage was a large ongoing movie display of Venice in full Carnevale along with Ashley’s Aerialists performing non-stop silk acrobatics and Dance Productions Unlimited modern dance show. Music filled the air and the costumed guests filled the dance floor throughout the night!
The Ciao St Louis is a nonprofit organization that strives to advance St. Louis Italian cultural identity. Our online news magazine and Radio Program services the Italian Community. With radio and online broadcasting, we will be able to reach interested listeners throughout the United States. Our audience profile is someone who identifies themselves as an Italian American, a descendant of Italian immigrants or an admirer interested in learning more about and participating in Italian Culture.
We are dedicated to preserving the historical narrative of St Louis’s Italian Neighborhood (The Hill) through images, documents, oral histories, exhibits, and events in partnership with other organizations.
