The Campbell House Museum hosted a tweet party for the STL twitterverse and other visitors, Friday, September 26, 2014, in the garden. The guests enjoyed a splendid autumn night, special edition Campbell House family brews from Distilled History, a live concert from St. Louis sensation Typhoon Jackson, assorted Schlafly beers and food from MarKay Management  and Urban Chestnut.

As the attendees mixed and mingled in the garden, they heard the sounds of Typhoon Jackson, an Americana/folk/blues/rock band. Award-winning local blogger Cameron Collins, Distilled History, took guests back in time by tasting his “nostalgic libations”. Fortunately, MarKay Management supplemented the supply with Schlafly beers, a good move because the crowd worked up a thirst.

Sam Moore, assistant director and #drinkuptweetup coordinator, assembled some attendance prizes that included a 6 pack of the Campbell Family beers and an opportunity to down a ceremonial shot out of U.S. Grant’s chalice. While everything was happening outside, some guests chose to explore the museum itself. Inside the walls, they found one of America’s most accurately restored 19th century buildings and learned something about westward expansion reflected through the lens of the Campbell Family.
