Mercy Health Foundation held its 13th Annual Mercy Masquerade: There is no Place Like Mercy at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel. More than 700 guests traveled down the yellow brick road to celebrate Mercy’s mission and approach to serving their patients.

Co-Chairs Mary and Joseph Stieven and Jackie and Stephen Sanders, MD led this year’s efforts to raise more than $860,0000 to support uninsured and underinsured patients at Mercy. The Centene Charitable Foundation was the presenting sponsor for the Annual Mercy Masquerade. Festivities included cocktails, dinner, dancing and live pop up entertainment featuring performance from The Wizard of Oz, Wicked and The Wiz.

Because of this event, more than $7 million has been raised to support the diverse charity care programs for children and adults throughout Mercy and the St. Louis area. The undeserved have been connected with health and social service resources, patients have received prescriptions medications, diabetic supplies and durable medical equipment, breast cancer screenings and mammograms at no costs, transportation for medical care and access to care for patients needing behavioral/mental health support. The support and funds raised has made a tremendous impact on the patients and families who need health care throughout the region.
